Parker is a trial lawyer who has handled, tried and won numerous cases in state court. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1987 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. In 1994, Parker graduated from South Texas College of Law, where he was selected to the Order of the Barristers and Order of Lytae. He is currently an adjunct professor teaching Civil Trial Advocacy at South Texas College of Law.
Parker has a broad-based docket in both state and federal court. He has successfully litigated a wide variety of civil cases, including all types of commercial and business disputes and personal injury matters, including those involving products liability and premises liability. He has also handled several automobile/truck liability cases involving significant injuries.
Parker is admitted to practice before all Texas state courts and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Western, and Northern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the Houston Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and Garland Walker American Inn of Court. He authored and presented "Denial of Coverage and Reservation of Rights in Texas: A Journey into the Abyss" for the University of Houston Advanced Insurance Seminar, March 2000 and March 2001. He also authored and presented "Delivering a Persuasive Close: The 'Why To' and 'How To' be Persuasive," for the University of Houston Law Foundation Litigation and Trial Tactics Seminar, December 2001.
Parker joined the firm in the summer of 1999 and became a partner in 2001. His areas of practice are personal injury defense, labor and employment litigation, and commercial and business litigation.
